Avenue Counselling was founded with compassion at its core, and built around one belief: that everyone has the potential to grow, heal and thrive.
You are not alone.
At Avenue Counselling, we believe that healing begins with feeling seen, heard and understood. Life brings challenges, from personal struggles and relationship stress to career confusion and cultural transitions, and no one should have to face them alone. That’s why we’re here.
We offer a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts, process your emotions and build tools for a more balanced, fulfilling life. We specialise in individual, couple and family counselling, with a unique focus on immigrant mental health and career development support.
Our approach is gentle yet practical, rooted in evidence based strategies and shaped by real human connection. We also understand that therapy should be accessible. That’s why we offer affordable counselling options and flexible formats, including in person and virtual sessions.
This is more than therapy. It’s a path forward. And we’re honoured to walk that path with you.
Yub Raj Paudyal is not just a counsellor. He is someone who walks beside you when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or just too heavy to carry alone. As a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Certified Career Development Professional (CCDP), Yub has supported individuals and families from all walks of life, guiding them through personal struggles, career transitions and emotional healing with compassion, clarity and care.
With a background in education and counselling psychology, Yub brings a unique blend of insight and empathy to every session. He is especially passionate about supporting immigrants, youth and parents, helping them make sense of their experiences and move forward with confidence. As a mental health project coordinator, he also leads community based wellness initiatives, working on the ground to promote emotional wellbeing, mental health awareness and culturally responsive care.
Yub is also the author of several online courses, including programs on screen free parenting, growth mindset for children, and mental wellness for immigrant families. His educational resources are designed to empower people with real, usable tools, whether they’re navigating screen addiction at home or building emotional resilience in school settings.
As a dedicated community activist, Yub has created safe, inclusive spaces for healing through workshops, support groups and advocacy. He believes that healing happens in connection with ourselves, our families and our communities. His clients often describe him as warm, nonjudgmental, and someone who truly listens.
Everyone has the potential to grow, heal and thrive. Sometimes they just need the right support to get there.
He’s here to offer exactly that.

Warm enough that you can be honest. Structured enough that something actually changes.
Nothing has to come out in the first session, or the fifth. You share what you’re ready to share, and we work with that.
Whatever you bring, the things you’ve never said out loud, the parts you’re not proud of, it’s met with respect.
Evidence based strategies you can take into Monday morning, not just insights that stay in the room.
Your background, family expectations and faith are part of the picture, not something to explain away first.
Sessions in English or Nepali. You shouldn’t have to translate your feelings before you can talk about them.
If another counsellor or service would serve you better, we’ll say so and help you find them.
A free 15 minute consultation, so you can ask whatever you need to and see how it feels. That’s all the first step has to be.
